ESG

SNS FOODS Sp. z o.o. was established in 2006 under the name SNS Trading Sp. z o.o. and at the beginning of its existence it was a strictly trading company dealing with pork export. In 2007 we expanded the range of our products to include poultry and beef. In order to further develop the company and change its profile from trading to production, in 2016 we built a cold store in Daszyn together with logistics facilities, where we initially employed 27 people.

Currently SNS FOODS Sp. z o.o. is an expert in food production and distribution, we have our own production plant and our own brand. We employ 36 people at the company's headquarters in Łódź and 70 people at Snowman Foods Solution Sp. z o.o. in Daszyn.

Our mission is - Let's develop and grow safely together... together with the production plant, employees, suppliers and recipients.

Our sales in 2021-2023

How do we care for the environment?

Short supply chain

We shorten the supply chain, thereby reducing the carbon footprint – our priority is to work with producers, not intermediaries.

We support
shelters

We sell post-production waste for a symbolic PLN 1.00 to a shelter to avoid disposal and strive to decarbonize the company.

Fleet of cars

Most of the transport companies we work with have a fleet of vehicles with exhaust emission levels confirmed by EURO5 and EURO6.

Railway transport

In relation to some clients we have eliminated road transport, replacing it with rail transport and we intend to increase the % share of rail transport in total transport in the future.

On average per year we have 53 intermodal transports - rail/road, which allows us to reduce CO2 emissions by over 40 tons.

Water transport

We also use water transport. 13% of all transport is by sea.

Suppliers involved in ESG

Our largest suppliers of both goods and packaging are committed to implementing sustainable development, have, among others, organic slaughterhouse certificates, have biogas plants, green farms, their own sewage treatment plants, and guarantee good living conditions for animals.

Ecological light sources

We replaced all fluorescent lights in the office building with LED bulbs, which consume significantly less energy than traditional light sources.

In the office, we use ecological paper materials and segregate waste.

Photovoltaic farm

We invested in a renewable energy source. In 2023, we launched a 500,310 W photovoltaic farm.

From May to December 2023, 19.6% of the energy used came from solar panels. This allowed us to save 146.93 tons of coal, and consequently we saved 174.48 tons of CO2 emissions.

UPEMI

We are a member of UPEMI, which is, among other things, a leader in research projects related to environmental protection.

Events for the environment

Planting a forest is one of the best ways to reduce carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and improve air quality. That is why in 2023, together with Snowman Food Solution Sp. z o.o. and the Perna Forest District, as part of our pro-ecological activities, we organized a forest planting campaign by employees and their families. Together, we planted 2,500 pine seedlings.
